Yesterday as I walked up O'Connor Street towards Parliament Hill to catch my bus home Joe Clark walked by. I was looking at him to make sure it was indeed him and he looked at me, smiled and said "Hi".
Actually, I was so dumbfounded to see him, and I have always thought he was short changed and should have been allowed to govern longer, and only smiled that big goofy smile one give to famous people. I'm sure he was amused. So, for the record, I have seen Joe Clark and Jack Layton up close and both times I was without my camera.
