So here's the challenge. I have no idea what kind of plant this is. It provided me with a seed a couple of weeks ago, I'm hoping to get a couple more, which I planted today. Perhaps I can grow another giant from the seed. This plant started out as a five or six inch, $0.99 potted plant from Ikea. The lower image is a shot of the flower.
Above is a nice photo of the flower on the Ginger plant. When it has bloomed the flowers are almost like tiny violets. I'll take another photo once it blooms.

Anyone agree with "What is a Dieffenbachia"??
I don't think its a Dieffenbachia. Although the leaves look similar the stalk/trunk is different. My plant has a stalk/stem/trunk that looks like a tree. Google Dieffenbachia and take a peek at the images. Sorry sweetheart. Keep looking. :)
The rate this plant is growing, I'd start locking the bedroom door at night. Better safe than sorry!!
