The Middle School's PTA gives out surprise awards each year to especially deserving parents and teachers. This year, they awarded four people... and guess who won the Very Special Person Award!!
Mom won it for working on the yearbook and the bookfair, and volunteering, and the list goes on...
However, this ceremony was on Tuesday, the same night as her choir rehearsal. So, Dad told her that Andrew was performing his monologue. He knew Mom had felt bad that she had missed it when Andrew did it the first time at Open House, (in front of a roomful of people!!) and so she definitely wanted to come!
[Ew. Mom just let in a big flying bug]
The lady who presented her award is also Canadian, and she made a nice speech about Mom, and she got all embarrassed. Then she got a cute vase of flowers, a certificate, and a PTA pin.
Yay!

Congrats Dawn! Just goes to show, if you want to get the job done you have to send in a Canadian.;)
Excellent job Dawn! Way to go. You show them how it's all done! :-)
That's fantastic! It's nice to have a pat on the back for work like that. Way to go!
