I'm sure everyone knows by now that we have a dog. If you don't, that's okay. His name is Spike, and he's a one year old border collie cross (with what we aren't sure). He's a great dog, but a bit of a goof sometimes. He doesn't like his feet touched and only barks occasionally when you play with him. Now some cute stories.
Spike has a dog toothbrush and some lovely poultry flavoured paste. Spike loves to get his teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, Blaine left the toothbrush and paste within reach. I came home Monday after work and found a red plastic stick with a few bristles on the end. The one end, bristles and all, was completely gone. The small paste tube was gone except for a few small bits of wrapper. He'd eaten it all. Needless to say, the next day he returned to us the pastic end and bristles of his brush. Yikes, that's gotta hurt.
Did we learn our lesson? Oh no. I came home from work on Tuesday and while Dana and I were eating our lunch Spike brought over the wrappers from the girls' left over chocolate bars from the night before. They were left in the same place the toothbrush was. The funny thing is the wrappers were hidden in some pillows Spike uses as a dog bed. But he brought them out and showed them to us. I think he enjoyed his peanut butter cup and white chocolate O Henry bar. He was a bit disappointed yesterday as we didn't leave anything for him to chew.

Doesn't that make you think of Peanut and all of the butter papers, etc he consumed over his life time? :)
